The Town of Barre complies with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as
amended. In keeping with the law, the Town has designated an Equal
Employment Opportunity Officer. The role of the EEO officer is to
maintain records of reports and documents relating to recruitment,
hiring, interviews, disciplinary action, promotion, transfer, termination,
and to prevent unlawful discrimination and to enforce the Board
of Selectmen's Equal Employment Opportunity policy. The policy of
the Town is to not discriminate on the basis of race, religion,

Action Plan, fairness must be accorded all Town employees in regard
to promotion, advancement, hiring, personnel matters, and disciplinary
