Vehicle and equipment maintenance will operate out of the new
Department of Public Works Facility in the old Adam's Granite
Building, Wilson Industrial Park, Lower Websterville, near the
Wilson Recycling Depot.
A Shop Clerk and two Mechanics which report to the Superintendent
of Public Works and Assistant Superintendent manage the Town's
fleet of eighty-plus pieces of equipment and the school bus fleet
year round. The two mechanics save the town money by providing
preventative maintenance checks on all town equipment. These checks
prevent costly repairs and time delays.
The Town sells its used equipment in May or through the state's
used equipment auctions held in June and September. When the Town
sells used equipment it gives the public notice, usually in the
municipal newsletter (see the April issue) or on the homepage
of this website.
