PLAYGROUNDS AND OTHER LOCATIONS

The Recreation Board and crew maintain 5 neighborhood playgrounds that have been modernized in recent years, largely through community-based volunteer efforts. The playgrounds typically include playground equipment for children about ages 4-10, a basketball court, and a picnic table. The playgrounds are located on Park Street in Upper Graniteville, Baptist Street in Lower Graniteville, Brook Street in Upper Websterville, Hill Street in Trow Hill, and Pleasant Street in East Barre.

The town offers picnic (roadside rest) areas on Quarry Hill Road and on Graniteville Road (in Lower Graniteville). At the EMS Station, at the intersection of U.S. Route 302 and McLaughlin Road, the public may use the basketball and volleyball courts.
