Barre Town is located in central Vermont, nestled in the beautiful green mountains. The Barre Town Police Department serves a population of 7,602 and we patrol 100 miles of roads and 31.8 square miles.

The Barre Town Police Department consists of one Chief, one Sergeant, six full time police officers, one full time Dispatcher & Administrative Assistant, and eleven part-time police officers.

Our agency provides 24 hour, 7 day a week coverage to our citizens. We are committed to serving the citizens of Barre Town in a courteous and professional manner.
